The light sculpture ´Der Souffleur´was part of the performance “Das Urteil” – inspired by Franz Kafkas `the judgement´. The diving mask with a steel frame is built to hold a smartphone for a video live stream in front of someone’s face – in this case the artist´s. He only sees the display of the smartphone while the audience only sees the back of the devise. Therefore, this smartphone which covers the eyes of the artist acts as a censor bar besides its main task. This antagonism was also part of the performance about Kafkas ´the judgment´.
