15 minutes

interactive web-performance
2010
webserver, website, webcam, notebook, PC, software, suit, hat
each about 15 min.

The performance 15 min. enables the visitors to take part: They can navigate the artist via a computerised control systems (direction keys) through the exhibition. The visitors see what the artist experiences through a camera and a live video-broadcast. Therefore, they can use the artist as an avatar.

The performance 15 min. transfers a control system, as known from computer games, into real life. The control-system and the live video-broadcast are built into a website which is hosted by a notebook and carried around by the artist. This enables direct controlling by everybody with access to a computer and equipped with an internet connection. Consequently, the exhibition may be viewed from all over the world, without the need of first-hand physical presence.
